The National Policy Dialogues is the main operational instrument of the EU Water Initiative (EUWI), an international partnership that aims to contribute to the achievement of the water related Millennium Development Goals. UNECE is the strategic partner supporting the policy dialogue process on IWRM. The OECD is the strategic partner for water supply and sanitation. Romanian Ministry of Environment and Forests is Chair of the EUWI regional component.
An updated version of the "Roadmap of the National Policy Dialogue on IWRM in the Republic Tajikistan"
The Roadmap of the National Policy Dialogue on Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) in Tajikistan contains information on the contents, key areas and schedule of the NPD on IWRM for 2011-2016 (updated schedule), including the so-called “policy packages” of activities to transit towards IWRM.
The Water Sector Reform aims at laying the foundations for an Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM) approach to the utilisation of Tajikistan’s water resources, based on decentralization and outsourcing services in a transitional process towards a shared responsibility between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the civil society at large.
